This page shows early developmental photographic work between 1989 and 1993. Andy Hughes is one of the first serious committed photographic artists to depict plastic in much of his work. Since the late 1980′s he has explored notions of waste, the ocean, surfing, surfers and edge of the land.
A committed artist, lecturer and advocate he continues to explore the topic. He continues to examine the relationships between both hard and soft pollution and the human stains which litter the globe. The deluge at the end of growth.
