This page shows early developmental photographic work made between 1989 and 1993. Andy Hughes is one of the first committed photographic artists to depict plastic in most of his work. Since the late 1980′s he has explored notions of waste, the ocean, surfing, surfers and edge of the land. A committed artist, lecturer and advocate he continues to explore the topic. He continues to examine the relationships between both hard and soft pollution and the human stains which litter the globe.
